And Yet

I hid myself in the dark and waited for the moment to jump in

And yet you found your way to me

I played with blood and drove people away

And yet you walked in my way

I turned summer into winter

And yet you brought the fire

I locked people away and messed with them

And yet you found your way out

You are the light that brightens my darkness

The angel that slowly took my horns away

You are the smile in my horrors

The mortal that taught my stone heart the way

I am afflicted by a curse

And yet you touched me

I have been chained for thousands of years

And yet you unlocked it with a kiss

And so free me with your lips

You, flesh and bone you

Brush my skin with your fingers

And I am forever yours
